A lot of people wonder why I go by Dai

and not Danielle.

To be fair, it isn't the most conventional name, but a lot about me isn't conventional either. I was born and raised in London, but currently reside in Houston, Texas (which is also why my accent is a weird, British-Texan-Slang Hybrid), and for a good chunk of my life, I never considered majoring in illustration at SCAD or creating a Webtoon. But this unconventionality is represented in and follows my artwork too: with vibrant colors and a collage-style of work.

And just like the spunky nickname that started with my mum and my dad, the dedication and love that I have to create, imagine something new, stylistic, and bold is informed by it.
